For Removing Haunting Thoughts

(Lunar Woman, no page number given)

Center yourself with three deep inhalations and exhalations (or by chanting Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo).

Posture: Sit in any meditative posture, i.e., Easy Pose or in a chair with a straight spine with a light neck lock (Jalandhar Bandh).

Focus: Lower the eyelids until the eyes are only open 1/10th. Focus on the tip of the nose.

1. Silently say “Wahe Guru” in the following manner:

Wha – mentally focus on the right eye.

Hay – mentally focus on the left eye.

Guru – mentally focus on the tip of the nose.

Remember the encounter or incident which happened to you.

Mentally say “Wahe Guru” again in the above manner.

Visualize and personify the actual feeling of the encounter.

Again, repeat “Wahe Guru.”

Reverse roles in the encounter you are remembering. Become the other person and experience that perspective.

Repeat “Wahe Guru.”

Forgive the other person and forgive yourself.

Repeat “Wahe Guru.”

Let go of the incident and release it into the Universe.

Breath: Will come naturally.

Mantra: The mantra, “Wahe Guru” means “the indescribable joy of going from darkness to light.”

Mudra: None specified.

Time: This can be done in 40 seconds!

End: Not specified.

Comments: This meditation can reduce phobias, fears and neuroses. It can remove unsettling thoughts from the past that surface into the present and it can take difficult situations in the present and release them into the hands of Infinity.
