However, if you have toyed with the idea of taking all ten weekends of Teacher Training but aren’t 100% sure yet our ‘open to all’ Halloweekend is the perfect opportunity for you to participate, learn and assess your ability to complete the entire course.
Spend the weekend with us just as you would at a ‘yoga conference.’ This is a rare opportunity to immerse your Self in the teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® for an entire weekend. Don’t miss this chance to learn a complete spectrum of techniques for personal change and transformation, self-healing, internal balance and spiritual growth.

6:15 am – Hukam and the Long Time Sunshine Song

The order of the mantras is 1) Long Ek Ong Kar, 2) Wah Yantee, Kah Yantee, 3) the Mul Mantra, 4) Sat Siree, Siree Akal, 5) Rakhe Rakhanahaar, 6) Wahe Guru Wahe Jio and 7) the Guru Ram Das chant.

Breathwalk® Training
in 2011
|
with Shakta Kaur
Choose from two fantastic locations!
Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jan. 22-23 and March 19-20,
2011
Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada
June 11-12 and Oct. 15-16, 2011 |
Walking is the #1 recommended form of exercise for people of all ages and all ability levels. Breathwalk® is a walking meditation practice derived from Kundalini Yoga that combines yogic knowledge with western scientific methods. This combination is proven more effective than ‘just walking,’ with many other added benefits including increased mental clarity, increased vitality, an elevation in mood levels and a greater sense of wellbeing and connectedness.
Many spiritual traditions use walking as a meditation to calm the mind, connect to nature and for healing. Breathwalk is a simple, yet profoundly effective mental and physical fitness program. Breathwalk uses a variety of different breath patterns, timed with your footsteps, to effect a change in your mood and energy level.
And, there are 20 different Breathwalks from which to choose! For example, you could use Breathwalk to promote ‘Energy and Vitality’ or ‘Weight Control and Overall Fitness.’ If you’ve been a prisoner of your mind lately you could choose a Breathwalk that shifts you from ‘Anxious to Calm’ or from ‘Scattered to Focused.’ A fantastic ‘after work’ Breathwalk moves you from ‘Distracted, Busy and Hyperactive to Receptive and Intimate.’ There are even Breathwalks to increase ‘Emotional Presence,’ ‘Intuition’ and ‘Spiritual Abundance.’ The choices are unique, varied and always effective!
Join Shakta for a rejuvenating, refreshing and simply remarkable weekend learning to use and teach Breathwalk—not only for your health and well-being but also to uplift the lives of many others.
Two levels of Breathwalk training are offered both in Tallahassee and PEI:
Weekend One – Personal Intensive - $250.
This one-weekend training is mainly experiential, moving through several different programs which provide stress relief, mental clarity, mood control and anxiety reduction.
Weekend Two – Instructor Training - $750.
Breathwalk Instructors take both weekends. The second weekend
builds upon the first focusing on understanding the application
of Breathwalk programs, working with diverse groups of
Breathwalkers and mastering the skills of teaching Breathwalk to
others.

Join us for our popular monthly sessions of gong and mantra.
As always, we begin every ‘Healing Power of Gong & Mantra’ session with light Kundalini Yoga to prepare the body for what’s to come (the yoga is appropriate for all levels). Then we move into deep relaxation with not one, but
three beautiful Paiste symphonic gongs. Your mind will have no defense to the gong after 90 seconds!
After the gong we use sound (mantra) to remind us that the entire universe was built on sound, on vibration. And, as we vibrate a particular combination of sounds, we are able to tune into a different level of intelligence, or, consciousness.
Join us for the deep vibrational healing of gong and mantra...

October Teacher Training – Top 5 Reasons!
|
Chicago - KY Teacher Training at KYL
Begins this Friday, Oct. 29th at 6:00 pm
Continues for another nine weekends through May!
October 2010 to May 2011 |
|
Top Five Reasons to take Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training:
5) receive a direct, internal experience of yoga and meditation,
4) orient your mind toward its proper role as your ‘servant,’
3) stop the repetition of past errors and patterns,
2) invoke your intuition and
1) make your life easier!
Why wait for something ‘out there’ to happen that will make your life easier? Wouldn’t it be a wonderful discovery to learn that you already have ‘within’ what you need for a life of ease, joy and abundance? The Aquarian Teacher Training program is the KRI Level One Certification program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. In this course you learn the fundamental principles and practices of Kundalini Yoga. You learn to develop the skills to master your own life. And, once you have completed all of the coursework, you will be certified to instruct others in Kundalini kriyas and meditations if you choose to do so.
AQUARIAN
Why is this course called the ‘Aquarian’ Teacher Training
program? Because, in the words of Yogi Bhajan, ‘The Age of
Aquarius is upon us where we feel it, know it, understand it, or
not. The past is going to be obsolete and teachers of the Age of
Aquarius are going to help humanity. How to grow, to glow. How
to serve, to be.“ But, before you can serve others you must...
FULFILL YOURSELF
The first student you have is yourself. Kundalini Yoga is the science of how to fulfill yourself in the experience of being human. Becoming conscious of your own consciousness is the first step. The second step is to serve others. Seeing the growth of a spiritual community around you and the miracle of lives transformed by this sacred science is most inspiring!
SACRED SCIENCE
Kundalini Yoga is the technology of human consciousness. It is a sacred science that works on the chakras, the arcline and the aura. It works directly on energy. Either you are above the energy and ride it or you go below the energy and it rides you. This is where ‘self-leadership’ comes in. You learn to ride your own energy, to experience it, to remain neutral and act--rather than react-- in a given situation. It is a sacred science because through its study your own sacredness is awakened.
So, join us beginning on the last weekend in October for ten weekends over eight months. You’ll make your life easier while learning to be in harmony with yourself and others. Your self-mastery awaits! Click

brochure

registration form.

Journey to India with KYL
|
Visit India – Change Your Life!
Join Shakta Kaur and Hari Dev Singh on this magnificent journey to India!
Feb. 14–28, 2011 (optional
extension to March 2)
"A yatra is a journey on earth to one's isht, one's higher self, one's altar, so destiny may not be altered and one can travel to the destiny. Walk on land with one's feet where all the great men's feet have already walked. It is a self-purification." - Yogi Bhajan
|
FOR ALL SPIRITUAL SEEKERS, TRAVEL TO INDIA HAS A SPECIAL APPEAL. The very land is steeped in spirituality, where many ancient practices were developed and perfected over 5,000 years ago. Simply walking the land can leave a profound and lasting imprint on your soul. To transform your life sometimes requires a journey which will change the way you view yourself and the world.
This is the third tour to India that Shakta and Hari Dev have led with the guidance of tour operator Deepak Singh of Spiritual Journeys.
While maintaining all the comforts of home you will have the profound experience of India;
absorbing the rich spiritual traditions while enjoying safe food, excellent lodging and the guidance of experienced staff.
Highlights of our tour include:
• Participating in the 5-day Punarnava conference “Ayurveda and Yoga: Where Science Meets Consciousness” held in Rishikesh (the yoga capital of the world); • Visiting the sacred Golden Temple in Amritsar; • Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra on a beautiful sunrise tour; • Washing away your karmas in the Mother River Ganges; • Visiting Old and New Delhi; • Walking the holy ground where Lord Buddha spoke his first sermon after 'awakening'
(optional extension tour to Sarnath/Varanasi).
The BBC has listed the Golden
Temple and Taj Mahal as two of the top ten sites to visit in the
world. The basic tour fee of $1,935 (until
January 15) includes
the conference, comfortable lodging, sacred ceremonies,
breakfast daily and English-speaking guides throughout the trip
(land only – airfare to and from India is approximately $1,300
additional). Besides visiting the great religious and cultural
sites, and walking in the footsteps of the Masters, our tour
also provides time to “shop with Shakta” in the bazaars (an
experience in and of itself!) and partake in local customs and
ceremonies. The optional extension tour is $400
additional. For more information

Walking Protects the Brain

Moon Watch
|
|
Full Moon - October 22
New Moon - November 5
(Above Dates Adjusted for Central Time Zone)
|
|
Full Moon
You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest
energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum,
so you don't want your energy being used to consume food. Save your
energy to reconstruct yourself. Try to drink only liquids on this
day. If you feel you must eat, drink only milk. (But, don't drink
cold milk right out of the refrigerator. Milk should be brought
to a boil. Allow the milk to foam up and then bring the heat down
so the milk is on a slow boil for 5-10 minutes. While cooking it,
you may add a pinch of ground turmeric, a pinch of black pepper,
a cinnamon stick, or a few pinches of ginger to reduce any mucous
causing side effect.)
Waning Moon
... is the time between the Full Moon and the day before the New
Moon. This is the best time to remove things, relationships or situations
from your life that no longer serve you. It is not generally thought
of as the best time to start a new project.
New Moon
The New Moon is when you are at your lowest...energy-wise. It is
a good day to fast on lemon and water. Fast from sun-up until the
next morning at breakfast, when you "break" the "fast."
